2005 Country Pages Now Available

Collection organizations in more than 11 European countries have increased their package recycling fees to industry this year. In addition, most European countries have implemented electronics waste legislation to comply with WEEE/RoHS directives, even those with existing laws.

That according to the updated Country Pages from Raymond Communications, now available to subscribers with a looseleaf or global limited service.

In addition, South Korean local governments are enforcing the 2003 takeback mandates, fees, and labeling requirements on a wide range of products and packaging. Other Asian countries have WEEE & RoHS legislation either on the books or in the works as well. The 2005 Country Page explains what's what in English, with a long list of collection organization contacts and fees.

A total of 17 European and nine Eastern European countries' information has been updated, along with 12 Asian pages. Brazil and Chile are also currently available. Updated pages for Peru, Mexico, Argentina, Columbia, and Venezuela will be available shortly.
